ACT police have taken a swipe at Summernats and labelled some who attended the annual car festival this year as "morons".
Tens-of-thousands of people flocked to the four-day event at Canberra's Exhibition Park (EPIC) over the weekend, with 130,000 entry passes sold and 2,500 cars entered.
ACT and New South Wales police were kept busy dealing with anti-social behaviour and hooning both inside and outside the festival, with two people arrested, 13 cars impounded and more than 100 defect notices issued.
Acting Inspector Mark Richardson said while the majority of the car enthusiasts were well behaved, the festival unfortunately attracted some "moron" tourists.
