Donald Trump has won the Republican primary election in New Hampshire, the Associated Press projects.
The call was made by the Associated Press just after 8pm local time, the moment all polling places closed in the state.
Early returns in the state suggest his winning margin over his opponent Nikki Haley may end up smaller than opinion polls — which had him ahead by around twenty percentage points — had indicated.
But she has not overperformed by enough to win the state.
